As the old proverb goes
“A picture is worth a thousand words.”
I’ve been covering commercial photography assignments around the globe for many years and have the experience and creativity to create the high-quality storytelling commercial images you require;
on budget and on time, every time!
Every photo assignment is different, whether its for a small business or a global brand.
As well as sports photography for magazines and professional teams, I’ve worked with restaurant owners and retailers who’ve required images of their premises and products. Global companies and brands who’ve needed headshots of their staff or CEO, along with creative images to showcase their services for use in their company brochures and advertising campaigns.
What is studio photography?
In its truest sense, studio photography is preformed indoors, in a managed setting where there is complete control over all of the elements.
Studio photography is used to shoot a wide variety of subjects, including people and products, from footwear to machinery. A photography studio will usually start out as a blank space, basically just an empty room. I will then source and use props and backdrops, this may be decided in the edit along with what to include and exclude from the photo, then the fun begins with the lighting.
What is location photography?
Location photography is basically when you go to where the subject is, instead of the subject coming to you in a studio and as many can tell, on location is very different to a studio.
Unlike a studio, being out on location (i.e. landscape, architectural photography, sports etc.) can sometimes be an uncontrollable situation. This style of photography requires planning and knowledge regarding health and safety, weather, equipment etc. These elements are factored into every single project. Over the years I have been on location around the globe following professional sports teams, an Out Of Home media specialist and used by sector leaders.
